Foreign Birth Registration (Irish Citizenship by Descent)

What I do

I am a dual-qualified solicitor (Ireland and England & Wales) with over 15 years' experience advising on Irish citizenship law, and a former investigative journalist with extensive genealogical research experience.

I am currently undertaking a postgraduate qualification in Genealogical Studies at the University of Strathclyde, a world-leading institution for genealogical education and research.

The combination of legal expertise and records-based investigation allows me to handle complex applications where family information is incomplete or evidence is thin.

How I can help

If your grandparent was born on the island of Ireland, you're entitled to Irish citizenship, allowing you to live, work, study and retire in all EU/EEA member states. I help my clients trace their Irish grandparents and prepare and submit Foreign Birth Registration applications (Irish citizenship by descent).
